Jayr Abas - Filipino Snowboarder in Milan



Gumbay Abas Jr., also known as “Jayr” was born in Bago Bantay kalookan by Ms. Leonida Abas. Second among three brothers, have a dream. To be famous in the field of snowboarding and be able to find his younger brother Sultan Kudarat Abas whom he haven’t seen for 20 years.

Though he was unable to finish his studies in college in the Philippines, his mother invited him to Milan in 2002 for them to be together after 20 years of separation. This started a big change in jayr’s life. READ MORE...

Obando Fertility Rites



Obando Fertility Rites is believed to have started centuries ago. It was a ritual known as “Kasilonawan”, a ritual started by pagans which was led by priestess, consists of mainly merry making, singing and dancing to their god that could help prevent women from being barren. When Christianism entered the Philippines, this ritual evolved and different stories were told.

Lito De Guzman is a graduate of Bachelor of FineArts major in Advertising Arts and has been working in University of the East as a college secretary and as an Art instructor. Inspite of his busy schedule, Lito was able to gather his artworks and open his 16th one-man-show in Le Souffle, Top of the Citi, Citibank Tower in Makati City this May 5, 2008 entitled “SMALL WORKS” that ended last May 30, 2008.
